I know it's been quiet around here, but don't worry, I haven't given up yet. I've been busy since finishing the audio for my album in November.
Please read on for a few important updates...
As I was working with my art & design team to come up with a look that suits the music, I felt that the name Art Forms in Nature was no longer a strong match for my vision.
My artistic goal with this album is to give listeners a subjective musical experience that allows for reflection and contemplation. You'll hear lush textures of music forming over solemn harmonic forms, creating these vast sonic landscapes-- settings for soaring melodic lines that evoke themes of growth, exploration, and change.
Still Forms came to me because it more subtly implies these themes, while also hinting at my style of creating this music by manipulating looped textures to create the sense of movement and form.
Since this is my first full album, I've moved the official album release date to late April 2016 to give myself time to navigate through the marketing and PR process. I'm learning as I go, and working to make the release a well hyped event (to the best of my current ability).
That being said, there have been questions as to when folks should be expecting their promised Kickstarter rewards. Having not been able to finish the audio until end of November of 2015, and also due to delays in manufacturing, vinyls will not be done until late March at the earliest. Fortunately, the rest of the items are still on schedule. I plan to ship a package out to every Kickstarter backer who earned a physical reward before the end of January 2016.
After this first exclusive shipment goes out to my Kickstarter backers, others will only be able to pre-order the album until its official release at the end of April 2016.
In the meantime, I will continue to develop and release more content related to the Still Forms release in April.
There's still a music video coming. There are interesting collaborations in the works. I'm booking shows, and working to bring my music and live shows to audiences everywhere. I've even started working on music for the next album.
Please message me if you have any questions, and I will do my best to answer ASAP.
I truly appreciate your patience and continued support.
**TL;DR!? Official album release for Still Forms (formerly known as Art Forms in Nature) is in April, but I haven't forgotten about my Kickstarter backers, most of whom I will be shipping a package to before the end of January. Stay tuned!**
